4:27:07: Most of the recording is done. Vocals and final mixing is still in the works. More dates on the tour filled in. Its looking like alot of fun next month. We're now play No Way Fest to end the tour.

4:11:08: We head into the studio today to record for our next e.p. release. Hopefully we can get it out by tour time, although nothing is certain. Also the June tour is shaping up and most of the dates are set. Heres the updated schedule.

3:21:07: We still need some help with some Life Crisis Tour dates. Many of them are supposed to be taken care of but we dont like to rely on that. Anyone who can help us please give us an email. If your city is close to one of the ones listed, give us an email. We dont have to play the cities listed, just the general area. Dates in red are confirmed or pretty much a done deal. Thanks!

2:13:07: New 7" in the works. We're going into the studio in March and it should be ready for our June Midwest/East Coast Tour. We'll also be in Europe in October for 3 weeks on tour, hopefully with a European release to support. Lots of shit happening this year. Check back here for more updates. So if you live in Europe or in the Midwest and Northeast and want to book a show please contact us. Tour dates and stops and such will be coming soon.

12.12.06: Long time no update. Well we're writing new material for a release next year. Also plans of touring next year. We're toying with the idea of going to Japan, so if anyone can help us with that it would be great.

Also the mini tour in August was alot of fun. Thanks in no particuliar order to:

Rich and all of Conflict Resolution, Line of Fire, Skrappys, The Phix, Bacon Kitty, Amys Closet, Stiv Kitty, All the Phx kids who didnt go to the Gorilla Biscuits show and came to ours, Evil Army (who fucking killed every night), Wendy, Daniel, Zombie Lounge and all the SD boozehounds who dig us, Dustin, Conquest for Death, Charm, UG Man, Erica Wino: Merch Girl Extraordinaire, Chaotic Mess, Mike Spradling, Seans voice coming back, West Covina HC kids, LB Warehouse (best venue we've ever played), Maury, Big Mike, anyone else who helped with Socal Fest, all the Socal Fest bands who tore it up, Linda the "not punk enough" merch girl, Greg Martin with a living room full of cots, Asshole Parade, Chris Kohler, Che Cafe, Rah, Jonny Christ, SBV, Robs farts, Adams farts, Drews fart (singular), anyone I left out, and anyone who came out to see us/bought merch and helped us not lose too much money

No thanks and fuck you to:

AZ highway patrol and giving speeding tickets when no ones on the road, Jumping Turtle Promoter - who didnt do a fucking bit of promotion, had someone else set up the show, and then split without paying any of the bands or saying why he didnt have any money for the bands (coward)

7.19.06: More news. Just added a show at The Zombie Lounge on Aug 21st to kick off our mini tour, welcome Sean back into town, and give all our bitchy complaining bar friends/fans a chance to see us. With DJ's Wendy and Danimal playing Punk, HC, and Thrash. Should be alot of fun for a Monday.

6.24.06: Finally news! The only Life Crisis shows in 06 are now booked for late August. Sean is now entrenched in Tennessee and Adam has recruited new musicians in San Diego, along with Mike Crisis back on guitar for as long as he wants to be involved. Our good friend Rob Logic is now on 2nd guitar as well. Plans for the future include writing/recording a full length and extensive touring in 2007. We'll never die until old age kills us. Anyways, come on out to the shows in August.

12.28.05: Last West Coast Life Crisis show in probably 10 months is coming up on New Years. Sean is moving to Tennessee in Feb. and will be recruiting new members out there. Adam will be staying in San Diego for the time being but will be flying out to Tennessee for recording and touring. So we're far from finished, just more or less relocating. Thanks to everyone who has helped us around San Diego, Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, and LA these past few years. We love ya and we'll be back.

12.08.05: Seans moving to Tennesse soon, so you only have one more chance to see us live. We're playing a pretty cool New Years Eve party. We're still planning on touring and recording in the future...we'll just have more distance between ourselves. So come on out if you give a shit San Diego. This will also probably be Mikes last show, as he is retiring.

12.07.05: New song recorded for an upcoming tribute comp for Negative FX. I think its on our Myspace page.

12.06.05: Long time no update. Tour went really well and we have alot of people to thank for that. In no apparant order - Damon and Lee, Mike and everyone at the 15th St Tavern in Denver, Johnny O, Mark, Jorge and his lovely wife, Jonny Christ as always wonderful, Dave, Al, Mikey, and Ron for putting up with our usual bullshit on the road. All the kids who stormed the Bluebird security in Denver, Erica Wino...the best merch girl ever, Bruce TPR, Los Sobrios Emputados, All Systems Fail, MDC, Ernie November Records in Cheyenne, Chuck the maniac who drove 6 hours to see us, 25 cent softserve ice cream cones, Carvis, and anyone who came out to see us and bought merch.

09.22.05: We're sad to announce the death of local San Diego show promoter Dave Raynes this past week. Dave was a way cool guy and did alot for the local punk scene and for us as a band. He was just getting a new venue up and running and it was just what this area needed. He'll be missed. A benefit show for Daves family and for the victims of Hurricane Katrina will be on Sunday Sept 25th at The Royal Palace - 1340 Broadway El Cajon. Bands playing are Media Lab, Accident experiment, 3 against one, Slewfoot, Iron maidens, Plus more. 2PM All ages/21&+ w/ID.

09.21.05: A few more shows added. Looks like we'll be headed to TJ in October and back up to the Bay Area in November, check shows page for details. Also our new 7" should be here in a few days. Arizona this weekend looks like it'll be a blast. Thanks to all who are helping us play all over. We hope we're worth it.

09.03-05: We're finished with our new recording and the album should be out in time for our mini-tour with MDC in Oct. There are two new songs up in our Noise section. Hope you guys like the new stuff. Tucson and Phoenix shows are coming up on the 23rd and 24th of this month. Arizona has always been good to us so we're looking forward to it. Also added are Oct 22nd in San Marcos with Cheap Sex and a show in L.A. with the Regulations on Nov 16th.

08.05.05: So today we're heading into the studio to record for our upcoming 7" on Deep Six Records. It should be due out around October. If you like our stuff then you'll like these new songs. We'll break up before we get shitty.

07.25.05: Just got in from 3 days with Asshole Parade up the west coast, god damn those guys can party! Ithink we got about 3 hours sleep outta 72. The san diego show was the best, thanks for everyone who came out and turned that bar upside down. All 4 bands tore it up just like i knew they would. The next night at gilman only about 70 kids showed up, But i would like to say a BIG thank you to those 70, you guys were awesome and we had a great time. I think with LOI and Haymaker cancelling, not enough people found out in time that AP and LC were even playing that night. Thanks to all who took care of us while we were up there as well as REPROACH/COUGHING UP BLOOD/CRIME DESIRE. it was another great line-up the whole way thru. So then after no sleep we drove back to LA and the van broke down on the grapevine, we were bummed cause we'd looked forward to the Socal Fest for months now, but we managed to get the van going again and get there in time so we were stoked again. We were there about 2 hours only to have the show shut down by the cops right before we were both getting ready to play for a packed house. If what they (cops) said is true, then the kids throwing bottles at cars should fucking die. Whatta fuckin drag- thx to all the people who came out to see us and bought our march all 3 nights and BIG thanks to GIL from RUIDO and BOB at DEEP SIX RECORDS for settin up that fest even though we didn't get to play, next time.

07.23.05: Fuck, last nights show was so good. I've never seen Scolaris get that crazy before. What a good fucking time. All the bands tore it up and the crowd was fucking rocking. Its even worth this really fucked hangover I have this morning. Anyways, thanks to Funeral Shock and Kenny for putting it all together. Thanks to Coaccion for tearing it up, and definatly thanks to Asshole Parade. Check out all these bands.

07.18.05: Lots of updates to give. We have a fucking rad weekend of shows coming up this next weekend. Scolari's Friday night, Gilman Saturday night, and then Sunday at the SoCal Hardcore fest in El Monte. Each night we're playing with great fucking bands, Check the shows section for more info.
We go back into the studio in early August to record for a split 7" with Star Strangled Bastards on Deep Six Records. That release is scheduled for Late Sept/Early Oct. Just in time for our mini-tour with MDC in Oct. We also have a weekend in September playing in Arizona. We play at Skrappys in Tucson on Friday Sept 23rd and then near Phoenix on Saturday Sept 24th for Rezfest...a benefit for Native Americans rights with alot of killer bands. Once again, check out the shows section for all the information.

04.20.05: We wanna make sure that Erica Wino knows how much we appreciate her help on this micro-tour. Erica, thank you very much! and we love you!
04.18.05: Hey everyone, we're back from our southwest tour w/ MDC! It was a blast! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us. MDC & co. were so nice. They even brought us up to play a few songs in the middle of their set in yuma after our set got cut short cause a bunch of bands before us played too long. I'll post more details 'bout the tour later.

03.21.05: The San Diego M.D.C. show has been moved to The Vinyard! (see Shows for details)
02.26.05: Another cool "Unpeaceful Protest" review! This one from Daniel over at DeepFryBonanza.com: "Also in the package with the brilliant Christian Club record I reviewed a few days ago was this EP from their fellow San Diegoans (is that a word?) Life Crisis. However, whereas Christian Club were doing the heavy, midwest hardcore-inspired thing, Life Crisis are straight-up blitzkrieg thrash a la early Corrosion of Conformity, MDC and DRI. Yeah, there's a slight hint of crossover, but this isn't about riffs; it's about pure, exhiliarating speed, and Life Crisis are faster and tighter than just about any non-grindcore band out there right now. Like the Christian Club EP, I just love the production on this 7". The title track sounds like it's about to rip a hole through my speakers; it's so clear, tight and powerful that I'm convinced whoever is responsible for getting this sound should travel around and teach seminars to local hardcore bands about what their records should sound like. If you like the production on COC's Six Songs with Mike Singing you'll almost certainly agree that this thing is a sure-fire ripper. It isn't just production that makes this band, though. These songs are just wild, keeping you on your toes with little breakdowns and fills in all the right places. While 90% of the bands out there who attempt to play fast hardcore just end up sounding generic, Life Crisis are constructing perfectly-crafted hardcore songs that hit you right in the gut where this music should. If you haven't done so already, get your ass over to the Get Revenge! web site and order this and the Christian Club EP. Both are limited to only 500 copies so act fast now, as there's no doubt in my mind that music this great will eventually catch on and you'll be kicking yourself for reading this review and not checking out these bands when I told you about them."
02.14.05: FUCK! we're goin' on the road with M.D.C.! see shows for more details.
01.22.05b: check out the review of "Unpeaceful Protest" by Scott J over at BystanderFanzine.com: "Holy shit, this has a touch of Black Flag and Circle Jerks, but vocally reminds me of D.R.I.. Yes, this is thrash in its purest form. The vocals rule, they are all over the place. The guitars sound excellent, that thin Marshal sound that is so needed in this style of hardcore. Everything is hectic and teetering on the edge of a nervous break down. This is something I would have loved when I was a kid. There are parts that oddly remind me of early Murphy’s Law, maybe it’s because this record is so much fun. I want to blast a tape of this out of a grey boom box while skating an empty pool in a ripped up C.O.C. shirt. If you get the last sentence then you need to buy this record. If not, well you still need to buy this along with some C.O.C., D.R.I. and Cryptic Slaughter LP’s."
01.22.05a: We had a blast playing this last weekend. Both shows were rocking and all the bands kicked ass. Thanks to all the bands, DSC, Conflict Resolution, BYOW, Howitzer, Line of Fire, and Severe Tire Damage. You guys went way out of your way to help us out and its way appreciated. Thanks to Sid and Otis for letting us play. Thanks to all the kids who came out to The Morgue and Jugheads. And Rich from CR who is perhaps the coolest guy ever. All of us are now willing to blow him. Anyways, any of the bands who are interested in playing out here in SD, shoot us an email and we'll do our best to repay the hospitality. thanks again! -adam
12.05.04: check out Sean's new label/distro, Get Revenge! Records.
11.30.04: ok, i got the Unpeaceful Protest 7" & CDEP up on our merch page. you can use paypal for fast shipment or send concealed cash, check or money order via snail mail. locally (san diego county) you can pick it up at Off The Record & Lou's Records.
11.14.04: yeah yeah, i know...we suck at updating this site. but to tell you the truth, we get alot more action on our MySpace site. I hope that's cool with all of you, 'cause i know that i didn't like MySpace at first, but thought i should go ahead and make a profile if it might help to promote the band...i'm sure glad we did. it's an excellent way to meet other people like ourselves! Anyway, we released our new 7", Unpeacful Protest, back on October 12th at the Disclose / No Fucker show. IT FUCKING KICKS ASS! i should probably be more modest, but i cant help it. we are also making a nicely packaged CD-R version available for those of you who don't know what a record is. we're sharing the whole thing in the "Noise" section. well, the only thing i can think to say now is that we've written enough songs in the last few weeks for another 7", but we can't decide if we wanna do a full-length next or not. but if we keep writing at this rate, we might as well. ok bye. -mike
08.15.04: alrighty, the recording is done and it sounds fukin great! as most of you know, our music is always available for free on our site. but for now i'm only gonna put up one song off the "Unpeaceful Protest" E.P. 'till the 7" or split CD is realeased...only to make it more eventful. -mike
08.09.04b: hey kids, we need some help. other than record stores and the venue the show is gonna be at...we don't know where to flyer, not to mention we all work 40 hours a week n' don't have a lot of time. so hear's the deal, we need people like you to pass out or stock flyers at places you feel punks would frequent. of course we would kick down free merch, shows or whatever to you for helping us out. if you are interested or just know of a good place to flyer. get ahold of us through our "contact" page. thanks alot. -mike
08.09.04a: oh man, our recording date is only 2 days away. and believe it or not, i'm sorta nervous. the main reason is i haven't recorded as the only guitarist in a band in 15 years. the last time was with RMSD back in 1990. in The O.C. Bombers, Eric played 2nd guitar. and as most of you know, Life Crisis' first two recordings ("Live @ Brick by Brick" & the Vigilante Justice" demo) had Mike Esrtada on 2nd guitar. but anyway, we are recording at Doubletime Studios with Jeff Forest and we're gonna keep it as raw as possible...NO LAYERED GUITARS, 'cause we want it to represent what we sound like live (shitty, haha). i/we hate it when a band does overdubs that they cant do live. but all that being said, i am still worried about the recording not sounding "full" enough. live isn't that big of a deal 'cause you have the room adding a natural ambiance/reverb. but i guess i'll leave it up to Jeff to figure out. WISH US LUCK! -mike
08.01.04: i had a really good time at the alibi last night. i love the guys in the band & all our beautiful friends! -mike
07.23.04: just added an mp3 for Unpersons so you get a sample of what they're like.
07.20.04: ok, less than two weeks after breaking my arm...we're back! check the shows section.
07.10.04: i broke my fucking arm at work! everything is postponed indefinitely :-( mike.
07.07.04: just added mp3s for Tomorrow & Muga so you get a sample of what they're like.
07.05.04: hey, thanks to all that came out to the show on saturday. Star Strangled Bastards & The Back Up Plan tore it up! as it turns out, so called "Breathe In" ended up being only one guy from the band and his friend on drums playing some hippy/garage shit that did not fit in with the "hardcore chaos" theme. so we made 'em play last so they wouldn't fuck up the flow. but thanks to 4/5 of Christian Club (who also kicked ass) for filling the gap "breathe in" left. full on bait & switch!
06.23.04: new show just added - "aichi prefecture invasion vol. 2" w/ Tomorrow (japan), Muga (japan), Bumbklaatt and Coaccion. tues, july 20 at the che!
06.19.04: ok guys we just confirmed the 4th band for our july 3rd show at chaser's.......THE FUCKING STAR STRANGLED BASTARDS! if you have not seen this band you have to go. probably the loudest band in socal. punishing power-violence, hardcore like bumbklaatt or from ashes arise. this is a great line-up all 4 bands absolutely tear it up. it's free and it's on saturday, so no excuses.......
help us start something good at chaser's. i'm gonna try to book at least one saturday a month there with no mixed genres. it will be hardcore and 80's punk only for a change. the actual order of the line-up is uncertain, so please get there early 9:00-9:30 to make sure you dont miss any of the action. this is 21+ show. we tried to get this all ages but everywhere was already booked and we dont have the cash to rent out a hall. BTW, if you haven't heard the Moose Lodge is now closed to punk shows because of noise complaints....oh well, fun while it lasted i guess. skeptic-
06.14.04: just added mp3s for Breathe In & The Backup Plan so you get a sample of what they're like.
06.14.04: new show added today! we'll be playing with oakland's Breathe In & from new york city, The Backup Plan! at Chasers on saturday, july 3rd. come on out n drink some cheap beer with us!
06.13.04: well that show on the 10th ended up not being a part of bearpaw's BME, but the next night he asked to fill a slot at the moose lodge w/ The Makeout Boys. you guys be sure to check that place out. the drinks are cheap and Donny (of Scolari's fame) works the bar! and some shows are all-ages w/ bar!
06.11.04: woah! that shit was crazy last night, who was the naked dude? and was that part of bearpaw's BME (best month ever)? i have no idea i was way too drunk.....anyway to all, thanks for comin. for those of you lazy fucks who stayed home so you could cry about having to work on friday, you missed the news and a cover?! yep Life Crisis actually played a cover song!!!
2 weeks ago we were asked to be on an Agression tribute LP/CD that is to be released later this year. to which we all said "of fucking course we'll do it!" we are doing "rich kids", which was our 2nd choice only to Rat Race (JxFxAx- is doin' that one, who the fuck do they think they are?). anyway hopefully people won't say we ruined a classic, last night everybody seemed to like it. original version is like 1:45, our version is a bit faster at 0:52 seconds and man does it kick ass! so i'm braggin' on my own band, F.U.
other bands on the tribute include:
Kat Killer - Intense Energy, Locals Only
JxFxAx - Rat Race
Midnight Bombers - TBA
McRad - TBA
Free Beer - TBA
Decry - TBA
Handy With Shovels - Body Count
Youth Brigade - TBA
Oppressed Logic - TBA
Jackass - TBA
Aggro - Don't Be Mistaken
xDxIx - TBA
Battalion of Saints - TBA
Jelly van Roll/ Lil Rob - Dear John Letter
Hollywood Hate - TBA
that's all for now, come see us play july 10th at the alibi w/ The Eddie Haskells!
skeptic-
06.04.04: OK, first off, once again we have been neglecting the site. but we will try to start giving band updates at least once a week just to let you know whats going on and so you have something new to read.
we've been backing off on shows lately and working hard for our upcoming (all new) 6 song ep. we are going to doubletime studios to record on July 18 and hope to have it pressed and available by sometime late august. we've been talking with a couple different labels, but in the end have just decided to self release this first ep. it will be of course available here on the site and a couple online distro's have already said they would carry it as well. anyone that can help us further with distribution, please let us know....
21+ be sure and come by next Chasers next thursday (June 10th) for a show with the attacks and 2 bands??? from outta town. this is our only bar show until July 31st (which will be at the Ken Club). we will be opening because i'm old and need my rest. should start around 9-9:30pm. we will be playing all 6 of our new songs + something special that we will announce that night. oh ya, and it's free!
ALL AGES im sure i don't have to tell you that No Hope For The Kids (Denmark) are one of the best old school bands around right now and we will be opening for them Sat. July 10th at the che cafe. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!! NHFTK features ex-members of A.P.A., which was one of, if not THE best old school punk band since old school was just called hardcore. i think the only other thing somewhat planned is another house party at evol lauren's house sometime in August.
after july 18th, we will probably begin booking more shows again. and as always if you want or need us to play, just drop us an email. we will usually play anything, anytime, anywhere. disclaimer: by anything, i mean any punk shows. p.s.- thanks to all who showed up last minute for the Life Crisis / Major Threat Show last week. it happened so fast we didn't really have time to even tell anyone. great turnout anyway. thanks for having us dave-
skeptic-
06.03.04: come out and see us at Chasers next thursday! FREE bar show!
04.08.04: for the old punks - we will be at joe and andy's in la mesa friday night (la mesa blvd? the old part) with WNP and Society's Victim. Not for sure if we are playing yet but we will all be there for sure and more than likely play. come out crusty old punks and drink with us. For the young punks - che cafe sat. night for the Shitgiveits cd release show. we're playing 3rd, but it's an early show (6:30) so show up early and see the big brawl that is rumored to happen. broken knee caps n' shit. skeptic-
03.21.04: sorry for the few and far in between news. we have all just been busy the last few months...
this past thursday.....
mike estrada decided to throw in the towel as he has way too much goin on right now and he felt that he could not devote enough time to the band. you and your rockstar poses will be missed mike....
friday night we drove to pheonix with christian club to play at jugheads with a bunch of local bands. The opening band decided to do the bait and switch by saying thier guiarist was not at the club yet, so the touring bands got to play first and second! hooray! anyway, we made the best of it, both bands tore it up, but most people were more interested in playing pool.
Ted from CC went a little crazy throwing beers and chairs when the owner decided to give us $35 per band, which was shitty of the owner to do, but live and learn.
i was telling the guitarist in family secret (who played that night), that i thought i was kinda shitty for the local bands to take money because in SD we always gladly give the touring bands all the cash if there's not enough to go around. he simply said that "this isn't san diego, this is phoenix", and that i'm lucky i didn't have to pay to play. haha...whatever, i'm rick james bitch. Anyways i don't think we'll be playing with that band or venue anymore.
we hooked up with the guys from B.Y.O.W., who are hella cool guys that we played in vegas with last summer and they assured us that the AZ scene
was great and that next time they would get us on a good line-up and venue. thanks for everyone out there that did show up, caused a ruckus, bought us booze and bought our merch(especially the guy that kicked down $17 for the shirt and cd, when the price was only $8). we appreciate the support and we hope to be back there soon. also thanks to 80-D, you guys kick ass and hopefully we can get on the next show together.
on to saturday.....
we drove back thru hell, got a couple hours sleep and then headed straight down to scolari's where we were playing w/ an opening band (that i didn't catch the name, sorry), bumbklaatt and the sub-horses(final show). wow what a turn around from the previous night! packed house, hella fun, all 3 bands tore it up last night. thanks to davey for asking us to play, we had a great time.
thanks to scolari's for the cash and all the free booze. and a big thanks to all the people who showed and gave us all the great feedback afterwards, we really appreciate all the praise. so much that all 3 of us, who were kinda gettin' a little down on LC just a week ago, are more into the band now than ever before.
